JOSH DAUGHERTY

Co-Founder/Owner/Instructor

JOSH DAUGHERTY has been a working actor for decades. He began on the stage as a child cutting his teeth in the theater and in educational videos. In high school Josh found great joy in music and discovered a deep and abiding passion for opera, musical theater and, more specifically Jazz. His obsession for Jazz took him to Mt. Hood where he briefly became a Vocal Jazz major. In that short amount of time at school, he was fortunate to open the Mt. Hood Jazz Festival for Tower of Power. This time was highly influential in concretizing his passion for America’s truest art form. Much of Josh’s philosophy of creative expression, performance and storytelling is inspired by Jazz basics.

After enjoying some regional theater and performing with the Colorado Symphony in Denver, Josh made his way to Los Angeles, where he stayed for over 20 years. This was an incredible time for him as he began to amass Hollywood credits that include over 70 national network commercials (Taco Bell, Xerox, Honda, Toyota, Chevy, Raisin Bran Crunch, Nissan, Bud Light, Coors, and many, many more), voice over campaigns for 3 Fortune 500 companies (Bud Light, Honda and others), a handful of films (including We Were Soldiers and John Carter of Mars) and over 50 Guest Stars on network and cable television shows. During his time in Los Angeles he taught for 6 years at the SAG Foundation’s Don Lafontaine Memorial Voice Over Lab, where he also served on the advisory board.

You can see Josh’s most recent work on season three of David E. Kelley’s adaptation of the Stephen King trilogy, Mr. Mercedes, on the Peacock Network, playing the role of Tom Saubers.
